Do you have a EV charger onsite?No, we do not offer electric vehicle (EV) charging facilities onsite and we do not allow any 120V outlets to be used for charging purposes. For your convenience, several EV charging stations are available in Blairsville, just a short drive from Misty Mountain. What kind of accommodations do you have?Misty Mountain has a 5 room country classic bed & breakfast that offers breakfast daily. We also have 6 cabins that can host from 2 to 6 people each.

Do you host small events?Certainly! We happily provide combined lodging and event packages, which are perfect for occasions such as rehearsal dinners, family reunions, or retreats. Misty Mountain has been the backdrop for countless cherished memories!

What is your nightly stay minimum?Most cabins and the Inn require 2 nights, however during summer and in the fall or holidays some units may be 3 days. And really, 2 days in the mountains is just not enough! We offer discounts for stays 3 days or more. If a suite or cabin appears as "not available," feel free to reach out to us directly, as we may have options available to accommodate your needs, but please understand 1 night rates if available will be higher than the published 2 day rate.

Do you allow dogs?We gladly accommodate up to two dogs in our cabins; however, we do not allow dogs in the Inn. You only pay the pet fee for your 1st stay with us as long as we have a pet waiver on file for your dog and it remains the same dog for subsequent stays.

How is cell service at Misty Mountain?Cell phone service is sporadic in the mountains. Tmobile works pretty good and Verizon is okay. Cabins do not have a landline, so we recommend enabling Wifi calls on your mobile device.

How far from Blue Ridge, Helen & Blairsville are you?Misty is centrally located just 21 miles from the charming town of Helen, 30 miles from Blue Ridge, and 5 miles from Blairsville. Surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of nearly a dozen waterfalls, the majestic Appalachian Trail, the towering Brasstown Bald, and the scenic Trackrock Horse Stables, our location serves as an ideal starting point for your adventurous outings.

How many people can Misty Mountain accommodate?We have 6 cabins that can accommodate approximately 24 people and the Inn can host up to 8-10 people. The number of people we can host greatly depends on your needs, so give us a call to discuss.

What is provided in each cabin or cottage?Your cabin comes with just enough of everything to get you started on your mountain vacation. If you need more, you can resupply at one of our local stores. Towel set for each guest containing 1 bath towels, 1 washcloth, bath mat & a hand towel. We will replenish for stays 4 days or longer. Otherwise we recommend bringing some especially if you are going swimming or rafting. Bed linens and pillows for all advertised beds—including sleeper sofas and trundles when applicable upon request Kitchen - basic pots, pans, dishes, utensils, glasses, etc Drip coffee maker/bring your coffee of choice with fixins Kitchen trash bag Dish soap Hand soap One roll of paper towels One to two rolls of toilet paper Hair Dryer WIFI Dish TV and/or a Smart TV Small grills are available.

Will I see wildlife during my stay?We cannot guarantee guests will/will not encounter local wildlife during their stay. All of our cabins are located in the mountains, and as a result you are likely to encounter wildlife (deer, bears, raccoons, snakes and bugs of various types, including wasps and/or scorpions, etc…). All of our cabins do receive bi-monthly pest control, however, because the cabins are located in the woods you may encounter pests of different kinds around the property. Winter is ladybug season in the mountains. We will do everything possible to reduce the ladybug population in and around the property, but you will most likely see ladybugs in or around the cabin. (They do not sting or bit)

Do your cabins have stairs?Some do require steps both inside and out. Please look at each picture carefully. We are transparent and honest with our guests in all aspects, but it is sometimes difficult to gauge what guests consider "too many stairs" as guests opinions, personal experiences, and point of views differ greatly. If you are unsure be sure to ask.

Do you allow pets?Yes we do allow dogs in the cabins. You can read our common sense pet policy HERE. We do charge a one time pet fee of $35. On your next visit, provided there is no damage or excessive cleaning required, we will waive future pet fees.

When can we use the fireplaces?Cabin fireplaces are available seasonally from October 1 – March 31. Guests are responsible for purchasing the firewood they use in outdoor fire pits or outdoor fireplaces. Firewood bundles are available for purchase at many local stores and gas stations.

Do you provide linens and towels?Each cabin bed is made up and ready to use with linen, blankets (winter time) and pillows. Please let us know if you need extra linen for a sofa bed. We also provide 1 bath, hand towel & a washcloth for each person. Fresh towels can be provided for stays more than 4 days, otherwise there is a $8 linen fee for each change out. You can add this to your stay here. or by using the self service link provided in your booking email. Please note, that if you are doing any activities like tubing, waterfall swimming, or swimming, we recommend bringing additional towels.

Do you serve breakfast for guests in the cabins?Our kitchen and dining area is only (legally) able to provide service for those staying in the Inn. However, you can purchase a tasty breakfast basket made with locally sourced ingredients (as available).

Are your cabins in walking distance of each other?Yes, they are! Each of our cabins are within walking distance of each other. They are great for groups who want to be close but still want their space and privacy.

We are arriving to the mountains early, are we able to get into our cabin early?As we are able, we welcome early check-ins and late checkouts for a additional fee. However, for our cherished Misty Direct Book returning guests, this perk is complimentary, subject to cabin availability. Otherwise, if you find yourself arriving in the mountains ahead of schedule, we encourage you to explore the charm of the area. Discover the quaint shops and delightful dining options in the historic downtown area of Blairsville, or head over to one of our many wineries. Consider a relaxing riverside picnic at Meeks Park or embark on a brisk hike at Neels Gap.

What about cooking?Each cabin is stocked with cooking essentials for use during your stay. Cooking essentials include: 2 or 4 burner stove with oven Apartment to full size fridge with freezer Dining ware Silverware Wine glasses Can opener/corkscrew remover Pot & pan Cooking/grilling utensils Kitchen knives Drip coffee maker filters Paper towels & dish soap Dish clothes Some cabins may have more inventory or additional items Feel free to cook inside on the stove top or outside over the fire, but please limit pot and pan use to the stovetop only. Please note that if a burn ban is in effect, no outdoor cooking is allowed.

Will I need a 4-wheel drive vehicle to access the cabin?In short no you do not need a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Some of the driveway's may have a slight incline though. The vast majority are easily accessible, however, with any normal car, SUV, or truck (unless stated on the cabin listing). Low profile vehicles or sports cars are not recommended for properties with gravel roads. RVs are not recommended for accessing any property - please inquire with agents for specific property. Motorcycles & Low Clearance Vehicles: Some properties do have inclines that may be too steep for smaller low clearance cars or motorcycles. Trailers: Only certain properties are available to bring a small trailer too, please inquire before arrival. However, in the event you cannot park directly in front of your cabin, we have plenty of flat areas where you can park.

What items should I bring with me to the cabin?Bring body soap, shampoo, toothbrush, and coffee for a drip coffee maker (we supply the filters), etc.. And if you plan on swimming or tubing be sure to bring swimming towels. If you plan on using the fireplace, we recommend getting "Kiln dried" firewood for the fireplace. It is easier to light and makes a nice flame!!

I forgot something at the cabin during my stay, how do I get it back?We cannot guarantee that we will be able to locate and return your lost items. We keep forgotten items for 30 days after guest departure. To return items there is a minimum $25 handling fee as well as additional charges for any packing materials and postage.

What is your cancelation & refund policy?For added peace of mind, we offer CANCEL FOR ANY REASON travel insurance through our online reservation partner RESNEXUS. If you cancel within 14 days of your stay you will receive a 75% refund. Best of all no questions asked and no documentation is required. This piece of mind coverage will add about 15% to your lodging cost. When is breakfast served?Our charming inn not only offers comfortable accommodations but between March 1st and November 1st on each Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday Sarah serves a fresh and delicious breakfast at 8AM to start your day off right. Want to sleep in & skip breakfast? We get it! Just let us know in advance & we will prepare accordingly.

Do you have a hot tub?There is a 4-5 person hot tub on the Inn property in a common area. All guests must observe any posted safety information for hot tubs and pools and agree to the policies as posted in the rental agreement. The hot tub is available from April 1st until Jan 2nd between 1pm and 10pm.

Do you allow pets?No. But to accommodate Misty family with disabilities we do allow service dogs as defined by the ADA.

Can I use the fire pit?Yes! Most cabins have a firepit and there is a large firepit in the common area. Be aware that fire bans happen occasionally due to wildfire worries at the state or county level. The use of your fire pit or burning fires of any kind is not permitted during these events. If there is a ban in place we will advise you upon arrival.
