Blairsville Sorghum Festival: A Celebration of Mountain Heritage
Updated: Aug 11
The Blairsville Sorghum Festival is a two-day event held in October in Blairsville, Georgia. The festival celebrates the history and culture of sorghum, a type of grass that is used to make syrup, molasses, and other products. Misty Mountain Inn & Cottages is just a few miles from Meeks Park and is the perfect starting point for your mountain adventure. Like everyone else we are beginning to book up, but we do have a few suites and cabin rentals remaining.

The festival features a variety of activities, including:
* Sorghum cooking demonstrations
* Sorghum tastings
* Sorghum syrup making contests
* Live music
* Arts and crafts vendors
* Children's activities
The festival is a great opportunity to learn about sorghum and its history, and to sample some of the delicious products that can be made from it. It is also a great way to enjoy the fall weather and to celebrate Southern heritage.
The festival is free to attend, and parking is available for a small fee. The festival is held rain or shine.
