The Full Story
Built for the Day You Just Had
Hikers Haven sits on a wooded hillside just far enough off the gravel drive to feel like its own address, with a firepit and a ring of chairs waiting a few steps from the door. It's the cabin guests request by name after a day on the Appalachian Trail, close enough to the trailhead that you can be back in a hot shower before the light's gone.
Downstairs, a wood-burning fireplace anchors the living room, with a plush sectional and a daybed with a pull-out trundle for a third or fourth guest. The kitchen is fully equipped for a real dinner, not just reheating. Upstairs, the loft holds a king bed under a vaulted ceiling, with its own AC and a spot to sit and look out at the trees.
It sleeps two to four comfortably, which makes it one of the more flexible cabins on the property: a couple who wants the loft to themselves, or a small group willing to share the daybed downstairs.
Traveling With a Dog
A Pet-Friendly Cabin Minutes From the Appalachian Trail
Hikers Haven is one of four pet-friendly cabins at Misty Mountain, and the one most guests hiking with a dog end up in. It sits on a wooded hillside in the Trackrock area outside Blairsville, Georgia, with a firepit right outside the door and trail access a short drive away in almost every direction.
If you're searching for pet-friendly cabins in North Georgia, the practical details usually matter more than the photos: up to two dogs are welcome, the fee is a one-time $50 that covers both, and it isn't charged again on future stays as long as there's no damage or extra cleaning. You'll sign a short pet waiver before arrival and that's the whole process.
Inside there's a wood-burning fireplace and a plush sectional, a fully equipped kitchen, and a king bed in the loft with additional beds for two to four guests. Outside is 20 acres of family-owned mountain property, walking trails, a pond, and chickens, and a dog that has been in the car all morning tends to appreciate that more than anyone.
- Up to 2 dogs welcome, one-time $50 dog fee that covers both
- Wooded trails, a pond, and open ground to walk a dog on the property
- Minutes from Appalachian Trail access and North Georgia waterfall hikes
- Wood-burning fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, private firepit
