Erin & Kyle Anthony

We're Erin and Kyle Anthony, and we own Misty Mountain Lodge & Cabins.

We grew up a few states apart from each other, Erin in Orlando and Kyle in Memphis, and we met right in the middle in Atlanta in 2020. We've always been big on creating sentimental moments and paying attention to the details. Over the past six years together, we've learned by doing. We've loved creating moments for people in our life both personally and professionally, and now we're ready to bring that same care to something more official and give it everything we've got.

Kyle has spent his career helping companies grow, and, less officially, has always been the family's resident handyman, curious enough to take anything apart to figure out how it works. Erin has spent her career working as both a writer and technologist, most recently leading artificial intelligence work for the Georgia Technology Authority. After all that time thinking about how people communicate and how systems work, she's ready to put those instincts toward something more hands-on, caring for guest experiences online and offline and getting to know the people, the history, and the rhythms of life in Blairsville.

Hospitality has always been somewhere in the background of our lives. Erin's grandmother ran a bed and breakfast on a cherry farm in Michigan, and her Aunt Annie, an Atlanta philanthropist who passed away two years ago and who taught us both more than we can really put into words, showed us what it looks like to be generous with what you have. Kyle's parents have shaped him the same way. His dad, Rocky, spent years in pastoral ministry and later as a pastoral counselor, creating a safe, nonjudgmental space for people to work through their stories, and his mom, Tracy, has spent hers helping underserved high school students find their way through college prep, financial aid, and everything else that comes with it. Their home has always been full of people from all walks of life, held together by deep relationships and open hearts. We feel this influence in so much of what we do these days.

By the time we got married in August 2025, years of work and experience had already shown us we were ready to create special moments for people more officially. We'd spent time traveling to bed and breakfasts across the country, especially throughout the Southeast, soaking up what made each one special, and knew we could create that same feeling for people. That's what really led us here. We're not trying to reinvent Misty Mountain, we know it's already loved dearly. Our hope is simpler than that. We're hoping to take good care of it, share it generously, be genuinely useful to this community, and let it grow slowly into more of what it already is. Mostly, we just hope people feel taken care of here, and leave with a few Misty Mountain memories worth holding onto.

Meet Misty's groundskeeper, Blake

Blake keeps the trails, the grounds, and just about everything growing here looking the way it should. He's a military veteran, and it shows in how he works, disciplined, steady, and thorough. Off the property, he writes about resilience and personal growth on his blog, Stronger Root. Say hello if you see him out on the grounds, he's always up for a conversation.

Little Moments We're Building

A few of these are things we've already tried out with guests, and a couple more we're building toward. Small additions, added slowly, the way we like to do things.

Starting 2027

Breakfast on the Mountain

A proper mountain breakfast, available as an add-on to your stay, the kind of morning that starts a good day off right.

Starting 2027 · Summers

Movies in the Greenspace

An outdoor screen, a few blankets, and a movie under the stars, right there on the lawn. A summer tradition we're bringing to the mountain.

Occasional

Make-Your-Own Pizza Night

We've run this a handful of times so far, and it's already a favorite: build your own pie from scratch and bake it fireside.

Bonfires & Stargazing

No mountain stay is complete without a fire going and a sky full of stars overhead, our simplest tradition, and still our favorite.
