We understand that dogs are an important part of the family, and we happily accommodate them in our Misty Mountain Cabins. Pet fee covers up to two dogs. We love animals, and our goal with these common sense guidelines is to protect our employees, guests, visitors and the property we work hard to keep well maintained & pet friendly for future guests. With that in mind, we aks the following:• Keep your pet leashed when outdoors. This is especially important if your pets are not used to farm animals such as ducks and chickens.
• In addition, do not leave your pet unattended or uncrated UNLESS you are certain it will not cause a disturbance to others or damage to the cabin. Do not confine your pet to any room and close the door.
• We do not have designated pet walk areas, so please be courteous and clean up after your pet. Use “doggie doo” bags & dispose of pet waste in trash cans located around the property.
• While we'd prefer pets were kept off the furniture, if you must, please use extra blankets or contact the inn keeper for more blankets. Doing this will protect the cabin furniture and bedding and prevent excessive cleaning of the cabin. Be advised that we do charge for cleaning and removal of excess dog hair or other messes/damage caused by your pet.
• Misty Mountain Inn & Cottages does not implement any restrictions as to pet breeds or size of dogs allowed, but please do not bring a pet if it has a history of aggressive behavior.
