Six private cabins and a four-room lodge on one wooded mountain property, ten minutes from downtown Blairsville and twenty-one miles from Helen.
Misty Mountain is six private cabins and a main lodge on one family-owned mountain property in Blairsville's Trackrock Valley, all within walking distance of each other and run by the same family who lives here.
If there are more than two of you, that's worth knowing. You can book one cabin, a few side by side, or the whole mountain, and it's still one address, one reservation, and one phone number if anything comes up.
Below, every cabin is laid out side by side: how many it sleeps, which ones take dogs, which ones have stairs, and what each one is actually good for. Jump straight to the comparison table if you already know what you're after, or let the picker narrow it down for you.
Plus cleaning, charged once per stay, and applicable Georgia taxes and lodging fees added at booking. See the full fee schedule.
This is the table most people end up using to decide. Tap a cabin name for photos, the full feature list, and live availability.

Four of the six cabins take dogs: Hikers Haven, Dragonfly, Mountain Rose Escape, and Serenity Cottage. Dancing Bear, Trailside Retreat, and the Lodge are pet-free, so guests with allergies have somewhere to land too.
The policy itself is simple: up to two dogs per cabin, for a one-time $50 fee that covers both and isn't charged again on future stays as long as there's no damage or extra cleaning. You'll sign a short waiver before you arrive, and that's really all there is to it.
It's the property itself that makes it work — wooded acres with walking trails, a pond, and room to throw a ball, rather than a cabin on a half-acre lot where the dog goes out on a leash and comes straight back in.

Misty Mountain sits in the Trackrock Valley outside Blairsville, close enough to make day trips easy and far enough that the porch stays quiet.
More on what's around: hiking and the Appalachian Trail, the Gauntlet and scenic drives, and renting the whole property.
Every kitchen has a stove and oven, a fridge with freezer, pots and pans, dishware and silverware, wine glasses, and both a Keurig and a drip coffee maker. K-cups and filters are provided, so you don't need to bring your own coffee.
Every cabin has one, available seasonally in the colder months. You buy your own firewood; local stores and gas stations sell bundles.
Every cabin has wifi, running anywhere from 15 to 1000 Mbps depending on which one you're in, and a smart TV for streaming. You'll just need to bring your own logins.
Every bed comes made up with linens and pillows, and each guest gets a bath towel, hand towel, and washcloth. We add extra blankets in winter.
Most cabins have a private firepit, and there's a large communal one in the common area for when everyone wants to be in the same place.
There are walking trails, a spring-fed pond, chickens to feed, and horses grazing on the hillside next door, and every cabin is within walking distance of the others.
Four of the six: Hikers Haven, Dragonfly, Mountain Rose Escape, and Serenity Cottage. Each takes up to two dogs on a one-time $50 fee that covers both and isn't charged again on future stays, absent damage or extra cleaning. Dancing Bear, Trailside Retreat, and the Lodge are pet-free. ADA service animals are welcome everywhere.
Serenity Cottage. It's a first-floor studio, all on one level with flat access, and you park right by the door. Every other cabin has stairs of some kind, either inside for a loft or second story, or outside on the approach or porch. If steps are a real concern for someone in your party, call us before booking and we'll describe the approach exactly.
Individual cabins sleep two to six. Renting the entire property gets you eighteen beds across the lodge and all six cabins, for up to thirty guests on one reservation. The whole property is $1,650 a night plus a $600 cleaning fee.
Cabins and cottages start at $140 a night and lodge rooms at $145. The whole lodge is $475 a night plus a $150 cleaning fee, all six cabins $1,250 plus $325, and the whole property $1,650 plus $600. Applicable Georgia taxes and lodging fees are added at booking. Rates move with the season and the cabin, so check the calendar for your dates.
Two nights on all dates except some holidays. If there's availability close to your date we'll sometimes consider a single night, so it's worth a phone call.
Check-in is after 3:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out are available for a fee when we can manage it, and complimentary for returning guests who book direct, subject to availability.
Helen is about 21 miles, Hiawassee about 10, downtown Blairsville about 10 minutes, and Blue Ridge is under an hour. Brasstown Bald, Georgia's highest point, is roughly a ten-minute drive.
Every cabin is within walking distance of the others, which is why groups book two or three side by side. They're spaced far enough apart that you're not sharing a porch with anyone.
